CCC Wrestling Camp is BACK!! June 19-22, 2023

$215 per camper.

Walk up registration is available, but space is limited so there are no guarantees to get into camp. Cash or Check ONLY will be accepted at the door, no cards. Please make checks payable to Clackamas Community College.

 About the Camp

Cougar Wrestling Camp is a commuter camp for wrestlers interested in increasing their wrestling knowledge and skills to train like champions. Under the guidance of camp director Brett Sanchez, this camp features the very best of Clackamas Community College. Current and former Cougar wrestlers will serve as camp counselors and clinicians. All camp sessions will focus on collegiate/folk-style wrestling, emphasizing mat wrestling and takedowns. Additionally, this camp will focus on becoming an ambassador for the sport with sessions that focus on citizenship, leadership, and decision-making.

 

 Daily Schedule: June 19-22nd
 
8:00-8:30am  Drop off and check-in
8:30-10:00am  Technique Session 1
10:00-10:20am Break and snack
10:20-12:00pm  Technique Session 2
12:00-1:00pm  Lunch/games
1:00-2:30pm Live Drill & Matches
2:30- 3:00pm Mind, Mental Training

  

Camp Staff & Clinicians

Camp Director: Brett Sanchez- Brett has completed his first year as a Head Coach for Clackamas Community College. This season his team capped off another Region Championship which allowed Clackamas Community College to win its 10 consecutive Region Championship and Sanchez was awarded “Coach of the Year” by his fellow peers in the Region. Sanchez and staff were able to produce 3 National All-Americans honors including a National Champion at 165 lbs. Steele Starren. From 2019-2021 Sanchez served as the Associate Head Wrestling Coach for Clackamas Community College and help the program produce 3 National team titles, 24 All-Americans honors, and 4 individual National Champions. Tyrell Fortune- (High School) Lake Ridge High School, 3x Oregon State Medalist, 2x State Champion, 6x Fargo National Champion. (College) Clackamas Community College 2x National Champion, Grand Canyon University NCAA National Champion. Team USA 2014 7th place at Worlds, ranked 3rd @125Kg for Team USA in 2014, ranked 5th in the World at HWT in Bellator MMA.

Josh Reyes-( High School) David Douglas High School and Park Rose High School, 3x Oregon State Champion, 2x NHSCA All-American. (College) Boise State University, Clackamas Community College-National Champion 2017, Oregon State University 3rd at Pac 12 Championship, 2x US OPEN All- American @ 70kg.

Abner Romero- (High School) Buchanan High School, 3x California State Medalist, and NHSCA National Champion. (College) Fresno City Community College State Champion, Lindenwood University 2x NCAA All-American and National Champion, St. Cloud State University NCAA National Runner-Up.

Zeth Brower-(High School) Crater High School, 4x Oregon State Medalist 2nd,2nd, 3rd, 1st. (College) Clackamas Community College 2x All-American 3rd and 1st, Lander University NCAA National Champion
