Josh Reyes is entering his 3rd year as a coach at Clackamas Community College. In his 2 years at Clackamas, he has helped produce 19 All-Americans, 4 individual National Champions, a 2022 NJCAA National Team Title, 2 NJCAA National Dual Team Titles, and helped the Cougars place 4th in the NJCAA National Tournament this season.
Josh began wrestling at the David Douglas Mat Club at age 10. At 12, he joined the USA Cobra School of Wrestling. He was a 5-time Triple Crown winner in high school, wrestling 2 years for David Douglas High School and then another 2 years at Parkrose High School. He was a 3-time OSAA state champion, finishing his career with an overall record of 148-3. He finished runner-up at the 2012 NHSCA Sophomore and 2014 NHSCA Senior Nationals. He was also a 2014 US Open Junior National Champion.
After high school, Josh attended Boise State University for two years, compiling a 14-4 record before transferring to Clackamas Community College. Josh was the 2017 NJCAA National Champion at 149 pounds with a 31-1 record under coach Rhoden. Reyes then transferred to Oregon State University to finish his collegiate career under coach Jim Zalesky. While at Oregon State University, he compiled a 19-16 record and finished 3rd at the 2018 Pac-12 championships. In 2018, Coach Reyes finished as a US Freestyle Nationals All-American while competing at 70 kg. He also became an All-American at the US Open in 2023 at 70 kg in Freestyle.
After completing his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Business, Josh began his coaching career as a Grad Assistant at Oregon State University.
